John Francis Campbell (29 December 1821 – 17 February1885) was a well-known Scottish author and specialized in Celtic studies scholar. He educated at Eton and Edinburgh. Also, he was able to speak Gaelic, Lapp, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Italian, German and Spanish. The most famous published works are Popular Tales of the West Highlands, which include 4 volumes (1860-62), and The Celtic Dragon Myth (1911). 
The Story of Conall Gulban is a fairy tale from the third volume of the Popular Tales of the West Highlands. A long time ago was a young King of Eirinn and then he was in marriage age he was inclined to go to foreign countries and find wife. Will be he able to find her? How will their live continues?
