“The two Shepherds” is a Scottish short story, entered in the “Popular Tales of the West Highlands” collection. The story narrates about two shepherds, who live on the different sides of river. They are neighbours to each other, and the one often meets the other. One day the one who is on the west side of the river comes to the house of the one who is on the east of it on an evening visit. He stays till it is pretty late, and then he wishes to go home. The neighbor sends his son to guide him, but the end of night will be unexpected.
