Early on Sunday morning, newly elected Laborers Local 91 Business Manager Dick Palladino was already busy working the phones, talking to developers, contractors, members and representatives of the Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA) about the future of the sometimes troubled Niagara Falls local. Just hours earlier, after 11 o'clock on Saturday night, he'd been at the Seneca Avenue union hall when the final vote counts were tallied, showing an overwhelming victory for the slate of candidates he'd put together, and who had run on a ticket called simply "Dick and Friends."
