Mya laughed out loud as Derek laid out a beach towel across their bed, his blue eyes twinkling as he smoothed out the wrinkles and strode back into their kitchen. “Whipped or Original?” He called out to her, a hint of mischievous anticipation flavoring his question as he waited for her response. Mya sighed and shook her head with a smile as she called back to him, “Oh I don’t know, surprise me!” “Okay, Whipped it is then!” Mya chuckled and sat back on their bed, her fingers playing with the fraying ends of the only beach towel they owned as she waited for Derek to return. When she had asked Derek what sort of cake he would like for her to make for him for his upcoming 29th birthday she had expected something more on the extreme chocolate side. Mya had always enjoyed baking and since Derek had came into her life three years ago she had happily baked him whatever type of cake he desired for his special day.
