Description

Ana closed her eyes. She inhaled the smell of his cologne. They swayed slowly to the enchanting sounds of Nat King Cole. Thomas pressed her body closer into his. He rested his chin on the top of her head. There was no way to romanticize what was happening between them. They’d only have tonight. In the morning, Thomas would be back to New York, and Ana back to California. Their lives would continue on as if they’d never met. Ana exhaled a slow breathe. She’d allow herself this indulgence without remorse. Her divorce had been hard and the loneliness was nearly unbearable. So for the briefest of hours, she would belong to him. She would take the intimacy she needed and leave her feeling renewed. Thomas wasn’t the settling down kind anyway. If he were though, he’d admit to himself that he was enjoying the soft of her skin a little more than normally. The primal need for her was there, but so was something else that he was unwilling to acknowledge. He’d not fool himself into thinking they were anything more than strangers passing in the night. He would enjoy her, and fully enjoy himself.
Thomas pulled back a bit. He looked down at Ana. The petite woman fit perfectly against him. Her almond milk complexion and dark hair glistened under the impromptu candlelight dinner. The meal had been perfect and filling, but now Thomas wanted more. He wanted something only she could offer. Thomas tilted Ana’s face up toward his. Her heart shaped mouth opened to him instinctually. A warm charge danced between them as Thomas lowered his full mouth to hers. Sweet and urgent. Their mouths joined in a tangled dance of eroticism. Ana moaned. Her body tingled as Thomas tightened his arms around her waist. Ana placed her hands against his chest. She gripped his shirt and toyed with the buttons.
