Description

When you think about sex, temptation, and modesty, where do your first thoughts go? Do you think about your clothes, someone else’s clothes, or do you reflect about your heart?
Sex, temptation, and modesty always begin in the heart, not in your clothes. Your first call to action is to address your heart before you address your attire because sin comes from within, not from without.
Each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. - James 1:14
Your inward adorning will determine your external adorning. If you align your heart with Christ, for the purpose of putting His beauty on display to the world, what you wear will not be much of an issue. The necessity if an inward transformation is why most of the content in this book addresses the inner struggle with sex, sexuality, and sexual temptation.
My hope is that the Spirit of God will do a great work in the heart of every reader. By the time you get to the end of this book, where I finally talk about the clothes we wear, you will already be in the sweet spot.
Drawing attention to yourself by “over-modesty” or by “giving sneak peeks” of your sexuality are not biblical goals. There is one "modesty goal," which is to put the beauty of Christ on display. Dressing in a way that the culture interprets as weird does not do that. Dressing in a way that captures the lusty looks of others also does not do that.
The modesty sweet spot is to not draw positive or negative looks by what you wear but to gain the engagement of others by magnifying the beauty of Christ.
