100 People Who Changed Our World, A History of Silicon Valley, The Bay Area, and America’s Technology Revolution, 2nd Edition, is the updated version of this work originally published by Jerry Borrell, the former Editor in Chief of Upside Magazine, the original and oldest magazine about investing, technology and people in Silicon Valley. The book begins with a history of the Bay Area pre the ‘49ers, in the Bay Area’s agriculture era, and then follows the development of the defense, aerospace, electronics, semiconductor, storage, and computer industry up to about 1980. A third edition is underway that will continue the history of the Valley to include the workstation, micro computing, telecommunications, and biotech industry.
