Friends, I am pleased to bring you into the world of Joshua Francis and Somorrah, his Gay Guardian Angel. I am sure LGBTQI+ folk everywhere will agree this is a most eventful time for an Angel to visit earth and befriend and mentor this little boy. Joshua will give us an inspiring new Testament to withstand the harsh intolerance, anger and lunacy of the far right and right wing evangelical zealotry, who want to push us off the planet. Joshua takes through the delightful and hurly burly days of his life and I am sure you will enjoy his boyhood on a scenic thoroughbred horse farm, his fussy grandmother and the people of Savannah Island in the Caribbean. You will tear up as you learn about the tragedy of Joshua’s 8 year old cousin and it will tell you more about the mettle of which Joshua is made. Through his college and seminary years; to his break with his Church, Joshua explores a world where he accepts Somorrah’s assignment. Joshua gives us the strength to remain true to ourselves and our pursuit of happiness. His teachings and experiences will encourage you to reach out and help others in your journey. Most of all this is a story of forgiveness. But not forgiveness tempered by guilt or innocence. It is just the noble cause of oppressed people who fight back and reclaim their dignity and self- worth.
