Description

Demon House is based in FACT! This is the true journey into the darkness of a young child’s soul.

In the early autumn of 1972, at the age of 10 is were this journey into the abyss begins. Conjuring the demons in developing his first haunted house in his mothers basement.

“I was keenly aware of my emotional distance as well as my inquisitiveness towards a darker side of life. Even today I would be reminded of the polarization towards the darkness. This tug towards the abyss is not about blood or gore; it is about the unknown, the feeling and emotions that follow you in the darkness while your alone. The utter despair that can take hold of a human life and destroy the will of life. For me it was all about fear and scare! It was and sometimes still is the emotional impact of being separated and void of the light which allows healing and forgiveness.

This haunted house had the making of what would later in his life become the blue print of the world’s best haunted attraction.

“It was not about the money; rather, it was more about the acceptance of being connected to a feeling. It was more towards the emotional scare - like the abandonment I felt on a daily basis growing up. Inwardly I felt directed to perform these fear tactics with precision. Each child had to leave my “Basement of Terror” -  feeling disconnected from reality, scared, hopeless.”

“My training was my personal everyday feelings. I just needed everyone to feel the loss I felt. For a moment, each child was connected to how I viewed the world around me. Their fear was a temporary magical healing potion that keep my inner abandonment a bay.”
