Description

Our interactive books are built around our educational videos.  There are videos to cover all the lessons a third grader will need to move onto fourth grade.  Both books in this series have over 53 videos with interactive quizzes to match.  Each quiz provides a score for the parents to understand where their children need more practice.  Each video is taught by a certified 3rd grade teacher with real classroom experience following the national standards that your child is required to understand.  The videos, which can be viewed in full screen or within the page, are between 4 and 8 minutes long to fit into a child's attention span.

This interactive book makes a great interactive workbook for homeschool parents or for homework help, and is also an inexpensive alternative to the cost of tutoring.  This series of books cover the five domains of the Common Core  Mathematics Standards for 3rd Grade:  Operations and Algebraic Thinking, Numbers and Operations in Base Ten, Measurement and Data, Geometry and Numbers and Operations of Fractions.

This is book 2 of 2 for third  grade math.  Book One focuses on 3 of the domains (Numbers and Base Ten Operations, Operations and Algebraic Thinking and Geometry), while Book Two concentrates on the final two domains (Fractions and Measurement and Data).  The standards are organized accordingly under each domain along with an instructional video.  This makes finding math topics to review very simple and is much less time consuming than searching the internet for what your child needs assistance with. As a third grade teacher, I believe this book is beneficial to both students and parents as review of the standards, a homework aid, a study tool for tests, and preparation for standardized tests.  It is both a tutoring device for students and an informational guide for parents, clarifying what 3rd grade math looks like and explaining what is expected of their child at this level in their education. This book is not meant to replace classroom or homeschool instruction, however, it is meant as assistance in understanding the third grade standards as well as providing practice for students to master these standards.

Book 2 includes videos and quizzes for:  Identifying Fractions as Part of a Set, Fractions as Parts of a Whole, Fractions Using a Number Line, Equivalent Fractions on a Number Line, Fractions Equivalent to a Whole Number, Equivalent Fractions, Comparing Fractions, Telling Time to the Nearest Minute, Determining Elapse Time, Using a Number Line and Elapse Time Word Problems, Measuring Volume using Customary Units, Measuring Volume using Metric Units, Mass using Customary Units, Mass using Metric Units, Gallons, Quarts, Pints and Cups, What is Scale, Picture Graph with Key, Millimeter, Measuring to the Nearest 1/4 inch, Measuring Distance using Customary Units, Line Plot Showing Measurement Data, Measuring Area in Square Units, Area of a Rectangle, Recognizing Area as Additive.
