During my experience of teaching Chinese, many foreign students told me that the most difficult part is learning Chinese Characters. They found they are just like pictures. However, I think this proves that Chinese is an easy language. Words are unlimited but characters are limited. If you know about 3000 Chinese characters you can read most of the Chinese book. Even in professional books like medical science books, you can understand the meaning of a technical term by characters even if you have never heard it. Actually, Chinese Characters are pictures, with some method to be constructed. When I was a child, I learned Chinese characters by pictures. This makes my idea to edit this series of books for the convenience of those who are struggling with Chinese characters. I have listed all of the Chinese characters required by each level of HSK. And a picture is also put above every character to make it more vivid. In the lower left corner I have also put an example word, so students can learn the method of forming a word by characters. This is the way that Chinese learn Chinese characters, with out reciting any words.
