"The Son of His Father" is a novel by Mrs. Oliphant first published in 1886. Mrs. Oliphant (real name Margaret Oliphant Wilson, 1828-1897) was a Scottish novelist and historical writer. Her fictional works encompass "domestic realism, the historical novel and tales of the supernatural".
