May Clarissa Gillington Byron was a British writer and poet. He is best known for her abridgements of J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan books. She was born in 1861 at Audlem, Cheshire. She was the first of four children of John Maurice Gillington and Sarah Dumville Gillington. May Byron's biographies were generally approved.
