First heard this story in about 1955. Had set it to memory by 1956 often helping my mother read it. Just re-read in June 2018. The drawings came alive, just as they did when I was 3.
  • Ruined by the crude and distracting animations

I wish I could turn them off. I'm just looking for a high quality version of the tales with good images and typography. The store is littered with junk. Very frustrating.

As a teacher and a father I know this is a wonderful way to introduce a great story. In some ways better than reading to your child. Words are highlighted every time they're spoken. Drawings are animated. And the narrator is quite good. This book is a perfect way to introduce children to reading.

I can remember reading this book back in 2000 when I was in first grade, I'm now a freshman in Berkeley and reading this story again brought back so many memories. I love this book it's one of my absolute favorites.

My 5 year old son enjoyed this very much. However, be prepared to explain what happened to Peter's clothes!

I grew up on these books, they embody the child-like innocence and imagination everyone should grow up with.
