Perfect for fans of Kristin Cashore and George R.R. Martin, this first book in a sexy and action-packed new series is impossible to put down!

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin--one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow over the faerie lands is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin--and his world--forever.

It took me a long time to get into this book. It starts off very slow but wow, when it picks up it never stops. I could not set it down. Absolutely amazing. Every description is beautifully put and so very detailed. Could not recommend this enough.

jesus christ! i NEVER write reviews for books. this book might actually be the first book ive reviewed! IT IS SO GOOD YOU MUST GIVE IT A CHANCE!! the second book was my all time favorite jeez! this entire series deserves much more than 5 stars. i have never read a series so fast yet at the same time put it off bc i didnt want it to end!! Sarah made me feel so many different emotions; i have cried, laughed, screamed, and so much more!! I am so in love with Feyre and her character development and especially the plot twists in this story!! rlly keeps you on the edge of your seat and warms your heart with how strong Sarah can convey the importance of family. Sososo in love! thank you for giving the world such a beautiful book(:

I was left bored out of my mind for the whole first 2/3 of this book. It’s so bland and I don’t believe I’ve ever taken this long to get interested in a plot. Ever. Fayre was a uncomplicated as the protagonist and Tamlin was SO annoying and one dimensional as well! The only interesting characters in the entire book were Rhys (layered antagonist) and Lucien (Tamlin’s right hand man), I was rooting more for Rhys than I was for Fayre, which says something about the protagonist. I felt the whole romance was based on the protagonist’s lust for each other — it didn’t read like a romance/YA fantasy. It was not what I expected and not my cup of tea. I will not be reading any sequels.

Possible that I loved a Fae book more than the Fever Series. This first book was a taste of everything you need. I can’t wait for more.
