Description

This is a new type of book. It’s a visual book, meaning that it doesn't have many pages but contain mostly videos. I have learned photography and retouching with the use of tutorials and find that this a  very powerful method of teaching.
This book concerns mainly the Develop module of Lightroom 4; we  are going to retouch from start to finish 7 different photos. Most of them are landscape's photos, except the last one which is a portrait retouch entirely done within Lightroom.
We are also going to look at a special effect like selective, black and white.
While teaching I try to follow two rules :
1. No technical terms explained with technical words, but with simple English.
2. No theory, practical and visual examples only.
Lightroom 4 has been a major change for me as I was originally an HDR shooter, and I often needed three photos to get all the dynamic range of the scene. With the new features in Lightroom 4 and if you have properly exposed your photo. By my experience means exposing for the highlights (more on that in the various videos). You will be able to recover out of your raw file the dynamic range. This is new and gives the possibility of creating amazing photos without using an HDR software with a more natural look.
