It started promisingly but soon descended into a mess of a plot and repetitive romantic drivel. I rarely struggle to finish a book I started but this was arduous in the extreme.

Sorry, I tried giving this book a chance but half way into it I just started skimming through. A ridiculous love story about two of the most shallow characters ever imagined. This was truly a waste of money for me.

Love it! Williams's prose delights. A big love story on the surface. Underneath, interweaving themes of social change, courtship, and moral responsibility. Fabulous!
