Description

Electronic recording is a key piece of the national eMortgage infrastructure. The ability to eRecord the recordable documents in the county land records, without "dropping" them out to paper, is critical to achieving a fully integrated, seamless, national eMortgage process. eRecording has been happening in the United States for more than a decade. The overall landscape has steadily improved, with more and more counties and states coming on board each year. Starting with early adopters like Broward County, Florida; Orange County, California; Maricopa County, Arizona; and my own Fairfax County, Virginia, back in the early 2000s, growth has been substantial.
