Explore the Bible for Students Daily Discipleship Guide is a resource designed to help students walk through each session of Bible study as a group. In addition, it is also designed to help students individually. Five Daily Devotionals are provided for students to continue studying the Bible on their own throughout the week, equipping them with tools to understand the Bible and apply it to their lives.
“For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” (Phil. 1:21). These iconic words were written from the depths of a Roman prison where Paul was uncertain of whether he was facing release or imminent death. And yet, in the midst of this anxiety-inducing situation, Paul wrote letters to local churches and also to a slave owner to advocate for the safety of his escaped slave.
Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon contain some of Paul’s clearest and most powerful teaching on the gospel and the kingdom of Christ. In these letters, Paul corrects false teaching, prays for the spiritual growth of Christ followers, and challenges them to make Jesus lord over every aspect of their lives.
