Slamdek A to Z is Scott Ritcher’s firsthand account of his independent label, the Slamdek Record Company, which operated from 1986 to 1995. Slamdek became synonymous with Louisville for many punk and indie rock fans during its nine-year run. Each of Slamdek’s releases is documented in a narrative form with the story of each band’s history with the label, as well as other anecdotes, track listings, and band rosters. The book is highlighted with more than 250 photographs and contributions from 30 other writers.
