Vasyl Lomachenko is a Ukrainian boxer who has held the WBO super featherweight title since 2016. Previously he has held the WBO featherweight title from 2014 to 2016 where he went on to win the latter title in his third professional fight. He is known for his great timing, speed, creativity and lateral foot movement. He is currently one of the most highly rated boxers in the sport and one of the best amateurs of all time. He competed as an amateur in the featherweight and lightweight divisions where he won silver medals at the 2007 World Championships. He also won gold medals at the 2009 and 201 World Championships and he also won gold at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.
