Anita D. Taylor, M.A. Ed. received her A.B. degree from Bryn Mawr College and her graduate degree in education and counseling from Wake Forest University. She has been working with medical students since 1978, first at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and for over 28 years at the Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU) School of Medicine. She now serves as Associate Professor at the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. At OHSU, she served as the medical school’s Director of Career Advising and liaison to the Association of American Medical College’s Careers in Medicine program. She is an Honorary Member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the recipient of the Excellence in Education Award from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, and received both the Excellence in Education and Faculty Mentor Awards from the OHSU School Of Medicine.
