Description

“Killing Reagan: The Violent Assault that Changed the Presidency” was written by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard. The book takes a look at the life of former President Ronald Reagan both in and out of the White House. His career as an actor is examined in addition to his relationships with both of his wives. The assassination attempt that took place when Ronald Reagan was president is also explored in some detail. Another side of Ronald Reagan that many people are unaware of is explored when the authors take a look at the mental and physical disabilities that plagued this former president.
Ronald first became involved with governmental organizations when he served the United States of America during World War II. Reagan received his highest promotion in 1942 when he was appointed as the second lieutenant in the US Cavalry Officer Reserve Corps. After being given this level of authority, Ronald was also given the privilege of having access to highly classified and top-secret information. This position required a great deal of responsibility and Ronald cultivated leadership skills that served him later in life.
