Padraic Colum (1881 ā 1972) was an Irish poet, novelist, dramatist, biographer, playwright, children's author and collector of folklore. He was one of the leading figures of the Irish Literary Revival. He collected Irish folk songs, Ā«She Moved She Moved Through the Fair is the most famous song, for which Colum wrote most of the words, with the musicologist Herbert Hughes.
