This 1865 novel written by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pen name Lewis Carroll tells the story of Alice, a young girl who falls asleep in a meadow and dreams that she follows a White Rabbit down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world. She has many wonderful and even often bizarre adventures with many very strange and peculiar creatures. She often changes size unexpectedly; she can grow as tall as a house and then shrinks down to only three inches high. Alice will encounter the fascinating characters of March Hare, the Cheshire Cat, the Duchess, the Mad Hatter, the Mock Turtle, and the Red Queen. Later in 1871 Carroll also wrote a sequel, Through The Looking-Glass, and both books are sometimes referred to as Alice in Wonderland.
