Description

True religion is that which allows you to come home to who you really are. It can not be preached or taught by anyone else. It is an experience derived form life and its ways. It is that which knows truth from within. It is that which allows a thing to its natural state. It is that where all questions leave. It is not faith but that on which faith rests. It is that where there is no pain of any kind. Every religion known to man offers this. That is the essence within. The seeker regardless of his worldly religion, acquired religion, yearns for the essence that allows freedom. In this little book, Gnani Purush Dadashri gives nine simple sentences, which he calls nine 'kalams'. A kalam is a graft. Just as a graft on a branch of a tree brings forth flowers and fruits of a graft; in the same manner, the new graft of these nine sentences bring forth amazing new flowers and fruits. Gnani Purush is defined in India as the One for whom nothing remains to be known. He is the enlightened One, who moves about solely for the salvation of others. Despite having a body, he is not the owner of the body.

This current body of ours in this current life is an effect. It was caused through intention called bhaav in the last life. In a previous life, the causal body is created through the bhaav or the view that, 'I am this body, this is mine'. Thus a new causal body is formed, and it gives rise to an effective body of mind-speech and acts in the current life. Once formed the effect cannot be changed. The effect in the form of pleasure or pain has to be suffered. While suffering these bitter or sweet fruits in the current life, simultaneously, new causal body is being created for the next life, because of the prevailing belief, 'I am this body.'

The 9 new grafts, kalams represent the exact way to wipe off the blue prints of the next life. The effect cannot be changed, but the new cause can be changed with the new knowledge. By invoking the eternal One within, the seeker or the suffering human being asks for the absolute energy not to enter into any further hurt to anyone. Hurt caused to others through mind, speech and acts create entanglements for the current and coming life. These entanglements that arise in life; are discussed by the enlightened One, and a way to become free from them is shown, a way that is as simple as reading with understanding, these nine simple sentences.
