Nuclear storms clouds are threatening to destroy our world as the nations prepare themselves for the Great Battle of Armageddon. Before 1900 very few commentaries were written on prophetical books like Daniel and Revelation. It was not easy in those days to understand, for example, how something lodged in the human body would enable a person to "buy and sell" (Rev. 13:16,17) — or the possibility of the whole world simultaneously viewing an event in Jerusalem (Rev. 11:9-12).
The Old Testament prophet, Daniel, wrote that end-time prophecy would be more clearly understood as knowledge increases in the last days and it is an exciting fact.
"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased — for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end." (Dan. 12:4,9 KJV).
As historical events unfold THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES are evident for all who will see. Paul wrote in 1 Thess. 5:4 "But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief." The Lord Jesus Christ put it this way: "And when these things begin to come to pass, then LOOK UP, and lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh." (Luke 21:28).
