The fundamental principle at the heart of all of Jiddu Krishnamurti’s teachings, and the one he expounded in his lectures and writings, was that each person should find for herself the path to her own liberty. In the lectures here gathered, the spiritual teacher delves deeper still into this message, proposing a way of living completely different to the norm. Krishnamurti invites readers to observe with clarity and discernment—that is to say, without the conditioning factors of the mind or of language—the motives behind their actions, desires, and relationships. Only in doing so, he argues, is it possible to understand that liberty, love, beauty, and goodness are the same thing.
