Description

A special 20th anniversary edition of the beloved international bestseller that changed millions of lives

Maybe it was a grandparent, or a teacher, or a colleague. Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching, helped you see the world as a more profound place, gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it.

For Mitch Albom, that person was Morrie Schwartz, his college professor from nearly twenty years ago.

Maybe, like Mitch, you lost track of this mentor as you made your way, and the insights faded, and the world seemed colder. Wouldn't you like to see that person again, ask the bigger questions that still haunt you, receive wisdom for your busy life today the way you once did when you were younger?

Mitch Albom had that second chance. He reconnected with Morrie in the last months of the older man's life. Knowing he was dying, Morrie visited with Mitch in his study every Tuesday, just as they used to back in college. Their rekindled relationship turned into one final "class:" lessons in how to live.

Tuesdays with Morrie is a magical chronicle of their time together, through which Mitch shares Morrie's lasting gift with the world.

I was given a list of books to read for my freshman summer reading. I picked this book after doing so research on it and thought to myself, "This will be an easy read, enough to get me a grade." But this book went far beyond anything I had expected. This was a hard hitting and emotional charged book. I absolutely love it and recommend to anyone to read, whether it be for school or for fun.

I read this book once out of boredom when I was very very young. I remember not being very moved. I read it again as a hard pressed miserable adult(lol) and it spoke volumes to me. Simple put I marvelous quick easy read. I've gotten plenty of people to enjoy it and my copy is well worn.

the simple format in which it is written is perfect for the depth of the meaning within its pages. whether this book brings you to tears is debatable. what is not debatable though is the fact that this book will change the way you live life and view the world around you

Thank you Morrie for sharing your wisdom with me and countless others through your friend Mitch. Life is crazy and it is so easy to forget what is truly important. Your values bring to light the immense importance of love and giving. I believe your soul is carried on through these words and in that sense I'm so glad to have met you. And thank you Mitch, for sharing your professor with the rest of us. Sincerely, Roxanne
