If you are looking for a formal book on economics that uses technical language then this is not the book for you. This accomplishes 3 tasks: introduces basic economic concepts in extremely unique ways using real world examples. Relates how the principles of economics work in the absence of citrus parabus, and provides ample entertainment and plenty of intriguing facts on the world. Beware though, the author definitely carries his opinions. Do not mistake this book for an unbiased and well rounded summary of the field. That being said, you can learn a lot from this book.

The best and most enlightening economics book I have ever read. I learned a tremendous amount and the presentation of the information and concepts are easily applicable and useful in discussion with others regarding the functioning of the world. I would go so far as to recommend reading it twice!

Makes the topic of economics both simple and interesting. I purchased this book with barely any background or knowledge on the subject and now I feel like I can hold a conversation about something that previously confused and frustrated me. If nothing else, it has helped me get through a few long plane rides.
