Description

In Dark Path, Melissa F. Miller brings back Bodhi King, the unflinching Buddhist forensic pathologist from Improper Influence, her USA TODAY bestselling legal thriller in the Sasha McCandless series.

After solving a series of unexplained deaths in Pittsburgh several years ago, Dr. Bodhi King retreated from the limelight. Now, he's called out of early retirement to help investigate a death cluster on a private island in the Florida Keys. Relatively healthy residents of an assisted living facility are dying in the middle of the night, expressions of terror etched on their faces.

Bodhi is thrust into a simmering conflict. Members of the Golden Island Church have a furtive agenda to protect. The dying Cuban-Americans have long-held secrets of their own. And everyone seems to have a reason to stop Bodhi from bringing the truth to light.

Lonely Path (Book 2) and Hidden Path (Book 3) are available now!

I enjoy mysteries combined with medicine, in this case forensic medicine. Bodhi King is a believable character. Good to have found new books to read! I recommend this. Easy to read, not hokey but believable.
  • Great introduction to a great character

As with her other books, Ms. Miller kept me up late reading this first Bodhi book. The new characters were intriguing and well written and the story line kept me guessing until the end. I can’t wait to read book 2 about Bodhi! I was provided an advance copy of this book.

DARK PATH by Melissa Miller. Book 1 in."Bodhi King" series Cubanos. are dying, suddenly, with fear on their faces. A call from the ME in Florida Keys wanting Bodhi once again. The media and all by solving, cost him a job he loved. Bodhi sought solitude, in remote locations now. The puzzle intrigued him, but not enough to go back. His mind was quiet, but he was jumpy, a decision needed to be made. This was an intriguing, gripping story, that once started had to finish. Dealing with the church, a charismatic pastor, offering you a place, with rewards. The older people, often were catholic and believed in oil and gold candles. Readers will be fascinated with this new series. Great, to know that the next book will be in Nov, and then Dec.
