Description

If two people are truly meant to be together, eventually they will find their way back to each other's arms.
It is a prerequisite of love.
It is inevitable… Right?
Then why does it feel so wrong?
Why is my heart pulling me in another direction?
Why do I feel so lost?
So utterly broken…

On paper, Hope Carter has the perfect life.
With her devoted family behind her, a thriving career in publishing, and her long-lost husband by her side, it looks like Hope has finally attained everything she sought after in life.
On paper, she is the quintessential it girl.
But that's on paper.
And what's written on paper can be misleading.
Sometimes, when you take a closer look and read inside the lines, the lies on the page appear…

How long can she keep up appearances?
How far will she go to keep her family safe?
How much does she really know about herself?

It's Hope's turn to talk in Inevitable, the fifth book in the Carter Kids series.

I'm pretty sure I say this about every single book that Chloe Walsh writes, but this was PERFECTION! This author holds the title for Queen of Angst and always leaving her readers wanting more. Entertainment, drama, suspense, passion and all of those other emotions every reader loves to experience? She's definitely got it. Inevitable is the 6th book in the Carter Kids series, which is a spin-off of the Broken series with Kyle and Lee, so to fully enjoy this book you need to go all the way back to the beginning to Thirteenth Street and read in order. So, on to my review. I don't even know what I could possibly say without spoiling because this was HUGE! The massive love triangle between Hope, Jordan and Lucky. Who does she choose? Does she even choose any of them? I can't tell you that... What I can tell you was that my stomach was constantly doing flips and my heart was lodged in my throat through the entire book! It was gut-wrenching and soul-crushing, yet beautiful and heart-melting at the same time. There was so much depth into the emotions of these characters and I could feel the author pour her heart and soul into every single page. The amount of vulnerability and inner turmoil was very raw and real. It was intense, dramatic and suspenseful, but also had its lighter moments where I was laughing so hard that I had to go back and reread those parts, just to laugh all over again. And of course, it's not a true Chloe Walsh book unless there's a *gasp!* cliffhanger, but so much happens with these characters and everyone around them that it's just unavoidable. Besides, it just means it's not over and I don't have to say my goodbyes just yet. But I will be waiting patiently for the next installment to Hope's story because every single book is worth so much more than the wait.

I love all of Chloe’s books but this one just seemed to drag on. Hopes indecisiveness was getting annoying to be honest and then the ending had me even more annoyed. It was a good book but not one of her best
