Description

It’s one thing to Qualify…

But do you have what it takes to Compete?

With Earth about to be destroyed by an extinction level asteroid, teenage nerd, geek, and awkward smart girl Gwen Lark, and a few of her friends and loved ones, barely Qualified for rescue onboard one of the thousands of ark-ships headed to the ancient colony planet Atlantis.

Now faced with a year-long journey in space, life in a wondrously alien environment, and many tough life choices, Gwen must decide who or what she will become. Fleet Cadet or Civilian? Friend or lover? Average or extraordinary?

Can she make new friends? Can she trust the old ones, such as Logan Sangre, her sexy high school crush and an Earth special operative?

Time and time again, Gwen’s uncanny ability to come up with the best answer in a crisis saves her life and others. And now, her unique Logos voice makes her an extremely valuable commodity to the Atlanteans—so much so that her enigmatic commanding officer Aeson Kassiopei, who is also the Imperial Prince of Atlantis, has taken an increasingly personal interest in her.

Before the end of the journey, Gwen must convince him that she has what it takes to compete in the deadly Games of the Atlantis Grail.

It’s becoming apparent—the life of her family and all of Earth depends on it.

COMPETE is the second book in The Atlantis Grail series.

Ingenious action and unexpectedly cool competitions. You can feel your own muscles ache at the training of the Candidates as well as share the wonder at the imaginative Atlantean tech. Little bit of romance for ones who like that, and the science fiction is intriguing too. I could not stop until I read both books. These would make great movies!

This series is both imaginative and brilliantly written. It is complex enough to keep one engrossed, but simple enough to avoid the headache that comes with reading overly detailed science fiction (and fantasy) books. I loved the concept and the imagination that went into making these books come alive. A great read!

Totally obsessed with this book. Impatiently waiting for Win to come out, what a cliffhanger! Just fantastic writing and plot, love the characters so much. If you haven't read the series I would say hold off until the last two are written to forgo the pain of waiting! But just a fabulous series :)

Book 1 (Qualify) was interesting, so I bought book 2 (Compete). It morphed into Cinderella. Don't think I'll bother with Book 3.

"Conflict" is the second in the series, and I loved reading both books. The second book is really a romance, with two people holding in their true feelings about each other in a space ship journey. Nothing steamy or erotic, not even a kiss. But you can feel the electricity between them. The setting is pure science fiction, but it seems so plausible and real. In essence, this is a love story. I can hardly wait for the next book in the series!
