Description

When veterinary students begin learning anatomy, they frequently are tasked with comparing the anatomic features of two very different domestic animal species, namely the dog and horse.  These students must have a clear appreciation of these differences in order to be properly prepared to perform physical examinations, interpret diagnostic images, and learn surgical approaches to diseases affecting these animals.  This interactive book combines photographs and 3-D models of the bones of the thoracic limbs of each of the dog and horse to highlight key similarities and differences between these species. To make learning the anatomy relevant to clinical veterinary medicine, examples of common disease processes are included, as are the lay terms commonly used for regions of the horse.
